Who Am I?

For 35 years, I have called Whitby’s Centre Ward home. With local property taxes rising, my deep roots drive my commitment to bringing strict financial discipline and absolute transparency to Town Hall.

  • Protecting Your Tax Dollars: As the co-owner of Blackrose Entertainment Inc.—which injected over $5 million into the Durham Region economy and supporting fundraising initiatives to local charities - I know how to balance budgets and respect the value of a dollar. I will bring this sharp, private-sector financial discipline to municipal spending.
  • Proven Fiscal Oversight: Served as your elected Whitby School Board Trustee (2018–2022). I brought rigorous oversight to the Finance and Governance Committees, ensuring public funds were spent efficiently and transparently. I will apply this exact committee experience to audit town expenditures.
  • Community Infrastructure: Dedicated seven years as a Library Board member, successfully helping deliver the Centre Ward Library and the Brooklin Library Community Centre.
  • Cost-Effective Housing Solutions: Managing properties in downtown Oshawa puts me on the front lines of the housing crisis. I know firsthand that tackling homelessness requires targeted, smart spending on supportive housing models—not throwing tax dollars at blanket solutions that don't work.
  • Complex Problem Solving: My 34-year IT career taught me to streamline operations, cut waste, and solve complex problems by listening to people. I will focus on optimizing town services to deliver high value for your tax dollars.
  • Deeply Rooted Volunteerism: Past Chair of Donald A. Wilson S.S. and Anderson C.V.I. school councils, and helper in naming Sir William Stephenson Public School. Active member of 100 Men of Oshawa which focus not just on Oshawa but all of Durham Region, The Whitby Town Carnival Committee, the Sesquicentennial Education Committee, and Caremongers Whitby.
